The overall message that I am trying to convey with this selfie is that I am trying to show myself in the form of photography. The first layer is my selfie, which is a picture I took in front of my house. The second layer I added was a lake background, Lake Huron. I took this picture on my trip to Mackinaw Island with my family this summer. The third layer that I added was a flower, I chose to add this because I love being outside and being in nature and I feel like a flower helps to encompass that. The fourth layer I added was a picture of Arch Rock. I took this picture on Mackinaw Island as well. I love to visit the island and my family goes every summer. The fifth and final layer I added was a small cluster of flowers in the top left corner. I took this picture in my backyard and chose these flowers out of the other ones growing in my backyard because I liked the orange and pink contrasting with the green leaves. I used the eraser tool in my selfie to take out some of the background and highlight my face. I used the lasso object to cute out un-wanted parts of my flower pictures to highlight the flower. This selfie helps to describe me as a person and shows my love of being outside and exploring nature.
The two layers in this image are a selfie and a blanket pattern on top of it. The blanket pattern has flowers on it which represents me because I like to be out in nature. I picked the quote because it shows the importance of nature in our daily lives and how it impacts us. I think that my double exposure is an improvement from my selfie because the editing as well as the image quality are better. Both images show nature and the importance of it in our lives.
